We LOVE Shoreditch Grind – their messages make us smile everyday (especially this one….)
And we’ve been delighted with the addition of Soho and Holborn Grind, but now we are really about to get spoilt as the Grind team are set to open their fourth site, London Grind, this February!
Their largest opening to date, London Grind sits riverside at the iconic address of 2 London Bridge. Finding inspiration in Melbourne, the brunch capital of the world, and produce in the bustle of Borough Market, on its doorstep, London Grind marks the group’s first foray into proper food.
Shoreditch Grind was born four years ago as a simple, ultra high-quality coffee offering with music at its heart, beating from its East London recording studio. Since then, the Grind has turned its attention first to perfecting, the now-renowned Grind House Espresso blend, and then to cocktails, centred around the Grind Espresso Martini which is regularly named amongst the best in London. Which we’d totally agree with – and we’ve tried them all.
Now, the Grind turns their efforts to food, bringing a discerning, locally-sourced brunch to SE1, with dishes such as Poached Eggs with Quinoa and Datterini Tomatoes, and One-pan Eggs with Baby Spinach and Pistachio. Once evening arrives, the menu offers Pan fried red mullet, cannellini beans, swiss chard, or Rich Lamb Stew with Spinach Gnudi, and cheeses, meats and exceptional oak-smoked salmon – sourced fresh from Borough Market every morning, and changing with the season.
Burning the candle at both ends, London Grind will serve a small list of signature cocktails, beer sourced from local brewery Fourpure and their full food and coffee offering, late into the night. London Grind makes its tribute to the city with its focus on gin – offering a carefully curated gin tasting list – served Pink, Collins or with Tonic, and each paired with a bespoke garnish.
“When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.”
We’ll see you at the Grind.
