GARDEN TO GLASS COCKTAILS WITH JENSEN’S GIN

We LOVE Maltby Street Market, but if you find yourself needing a bit of a breather from the hustle and bustle, we know just the place.

You’ll find Disappearing Dining Club at Ropewalk, inside LASSCO (an architectural salvage warehouse). It’s the ultimate atmospheric London boozer, complete with all manner of salvaged artefacts, (think Chandeliers, taxidermy and antiques) all of which are for sale.

They’ve recently teamed up with neighbouring gin distillery Jensen’s, to create summer ‘garden to glass’ cocktails made from seasonal and locally grown vegetables and herbs. And we are happy to report, they were some of the absolute best cocktails we’ve had in a long time.

The Rosemary Gin sling is summery fresh, served long, and smacks you in the face with the aromatic rosemary. However, our favourite has to be the Bermondsey Bees Knees made with local honey (a by-product of Hiver’s beer production). Served in a traditional coupe which fits right in with the surroundings, and finished with a sprig of dried lavender – we defy you to stop at just one. Forget the Summer series, this drink will see us right through Autumn. See you at the bar!
