Free Festive Feast (#FFF)

Creator of the World’s most Expensive Burger goes Charitable for Christmas – Free Festive Feast (#FFF)

Chris Large, creator of the worlds’ most expensive burger, has decided to provide and cook Christmas dinner free of charge as part of a unique charitable competition he is launching this December. Chris will come to the lucky person’s house and prepare and cook a succulent turkey feast on Christmas Day.

Australian Chris recently hit the headlines with his £1,100 burger, and did attract some criticism for its seeming extravagance when people are starving around the world. Now, he is truly putting something back and spreading some Christmas cheer by running a competition via his Facebook page for people to nominate the person or family they truly feel deserves this Free Festive Feast (#FFF) and their reasons for doing so, perhaps they have lost their job or lost a loved one so are dreading Christmas, whatever the reason, Chris wants to know.

Chris will be calling on the suppliers he knows through many years of working in the restaurant industry to provide ingredients and supplies for the dinner and then will be offering his cooking services for free to help someone less fortunate than himself. With so much indulgence and excess at this time of year, he wants to put something back in the true spirit of Christmas. Chris will also be encouraging restaurants to donate to local food banks to help families who are struggling at this time of year.
Chris’s free festive feast will be made with Roasted whole turkey, Slow roasted honey, orange and balsamic clove studded leg of ham, Duck fat roasted potatoes, Honey glazed Chanteney carrots, Tenderstem broccolli with toasted almond butter, Buttered brussel sprouts, Pigs in blankets, Cauliflower with brie cheese béchamel and Red wine jus.
Groupon Create The Glamburger – World’s Most Expensive Burger at £1,100
Chris left Australia to travel the world arriving in London in 1999 with £200 in his pocket. He has cooked in one of London’s top restaurants and also in the French Alps. He recently created the world’s most expensive burger, The Glamburger made with 220g of Kobe wagyu beef, black truffle and white trufffle, Canadian lobster poached in Iranian saffron, bacon coated with maple syrup, beluga caviar and a hickory smoked duck egg covered in gold leaf.

To enter the competition simply like Chris’s fan page on Facebook and post a photo of the persona and your reason as to why they should win, nominees must reside in London. The winner will be announced on Monday 22nd December.
