Bottomless brunch has still got to be one of THE best ways to catch up with your mates after a long week and Eastway Brasserie (part of the five-star Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel) has launched a pretty impressive new offer.
Ideal for the indecisive, you’ll begin with all six of the starters to share with your table. Yep, they’ll be no chance of FOMO because you’ll get – DRUM ROLL PLEASE – an avocado quinoa combo, thick Greek yoghurt topped with freshly poached rhubarb and granola, mini sweetcorn fritters topped with a soft boiled egg and feta, a light potato crab salad, oozy nduja arancini (we could have eaten a whole vat of these!) and finally gin and tonic cured salmon presented in a way that reminded us of beautifully light Copenhagen dishes – so pretty you almost don’t want to delve in. Phew.
And that’s before you’ve even ordered a main meal, of which there’s a great selection of substantial dishes. Feeling hungry? Go for a full-on burger or bowl of king prawn and crayfish linguine. We enjoyed the BBQ flavours in our duck hash which was topped with a chilli flecked fried egg, meanwhile, our guests’ chorizo spiced cannellini beans were the poshest version of beans on toast we’ve had the pleasure of trying in a while.
Wait, hold up – you’re not off the hook yet. There’s still dessert to go – and it’s unlimited. You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d stumbled into an episode of the Great British Bake Off but it’s all there for you. Victoria sponge, meringues, tarts, creamy pots, cake slices, pastries, breads – we spied more sweet treats then we could even begin to get through.
If you’re feeling boozy (and come on, when aren’t we) you can add two hours of free-flowing nectar for an extra £18. Unlike some other bottomless offers you’re free to switch drinks and they’re not shy at filling you up. There’s Mimosas, Prosecco, wine, beer and mocktails as well as a weekly changing ‘cocktail of the week’. When we visited it was a coffee and tonic creation that really hit the spot – kind of like a boozy cold-brew, it was the perfect thing to wake us up. On top of THAT there’s the rather spectacular Bloody Mary Bar which has quite literally everything to make one just how you like it.
