It’s been a busy six months for the Salt Yard Group – London’s much loved collective of Spanish and Italian tapas restaurants – with the successful re-launches of Opera Tavern and Ember Yard already under their belt. Now it’s time for the focus to fall on Dehesa in the heart of Carnaby.
This celebrated Soho tapas bar is going through an exciting transformation with a fresh new design and a completely revamped menu and they’re offering you 50% off food to celebrate!
Dehesa, an intimate charcuterie and tapas bar, first opened its doors 11 years ago and was an overnight hit. Emulating the hustle and bustle of the best tapas joints in Barcelona, this cute little spot on Ganton Street has always been a destination for fun-loving foodies. If you’re looking for some serious jamón, great tapas and a cold glass of something wonderful, its sublime terrace – one of the largest in Soho – is a mecca for people watchers and alfresco diners, come rain or come shine as hot cocktails, fondues and blankets are provided during the colder months. The new look Dehesa features a more contemporary, industrial style whilst still maintaining a sophisticated feel throughout. It’s a real hidden gem in the heart of Carnaby, the ideal spot for an intimate dinner or gathering.
Dehesa Head Chef William Breese has been with the restaurant since day one when he took his first culinary role doing work experience in its kitchens. Head Chef since 2018 William has a no-nonsense ethos that is championed by the group; creating simple, delicious and honest food without fuss and using the best possible ingredients.
William’s new dishes include the likes of crispy purple sprouting broccoli, parmesan emulsion & toasted hazelnuts; Jerusalem artichoke ravioli, chestnut mushroom velouté and crispy artichoke; poached chorizo picante, braised black beans & roscoff onion and cuttlefish a la plancha, arroz negro & alioli.
Cocktails, gins and of course handpicked wines, vermouths and sherries from regional Spain and Italy once again make the perfect match for these deliciously moreish continental small plates.
