Coming from Lyon, they have selected the best quality seasonal products working with French and local suppliers to offer authentic French homemade food…
Just before the start of the Christmas festivities, Covent Garden’s latest eatery is introducing their top quality French cuisine concept to London’s restaurant scene – Tartine anyone?!
The owner has herself collected every piece of crockery in the restaurant so you are served on a mixture of plates and each one has a different design. Lovely touch!
Our fave dishes are
- mushroom and hazelnut soup. Excellent warming autumnal dish, really flavoursome and great textures from the nuts.
- goats cheese, acacia and blueberry tartine. Really light sweet flavour + sharp goats cheese.
Also Antoinettes croque monsieur was an absolute delight as was the tangy lemon tart 🙂
Aurelia, a native from Lyon has been an enthusiastic chef for many years and decided to re-create the recipe’s perfected by her Grandmother Antoinette. The restaurant based in Covent Garden Piazza offers a bright, airy new place to re-discover the pleasure of eating light and creative tartine’s in a vibrant location. With the emphasis on exciting tastes of Tartine and a warm and hospitable welcome, Antoinette and Chef Marion Bohe, who trained at the Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon (the French food capital), await you .
