Every single dish on the menu sounded delicious, it took us quite a while to commit to just the 3 courses! Lucky those cocktails were keeping us so well occupied.
Marinated sea scallops with avocado puree, Granny Smith apples and red amaranth was a super light way to ease you into the evening. A perfect pairing for the beautiful weather we’ve been having of late!
Cornish crab with pressed watermelon grabbed our tastebuds – an unusual flavour pairing that really worked.
Braised short rib was beautifully presented and fell apart under the knife. Potato terrine with carrot puree and grilled onions were the perfect decadent accompaniment.
The twice cooked pork belly came tender as you like with a delicate nest of squid perched beside it – both sat in a basquaise sauce. Maybe the most versatile of sauces but for this dish seemed almost artisan in how perfectly it went with the meat and seafood fusion.
One of the prettiest desserts we’ve had the pleasure of eating in a while, the sable tart of strawberries, pistachio crème patissiere with elderflower sorbet is a must order!
Our sommelier paired each of these courses with the most perfect wine which really rounded off an already delicious meal. Sit back, relax and let him do the thinking for you.
We went to sample the new menu in the evening but they are also offering a bargain set menu with 2 courses & a glass of wine for £20 or 3 courses & wine for £25!
This is a great opportunity to sample a truly well thought out seasonal offering from a superb chef/restaurant collaboration – this ticked all the boxes for us!
