50% off Soft Launch at Galley, Upper Street

An exciting contemporary restaurant and bar specialising in small and large international plates with a strong focus on fish is set to launch in the heart of Islington next Tuesday 2nd of February.

Galley is the brainchild of siblings Oriona Robb and Marcel Grzyb. Oriona,  one of London’s most respected stylists, has been the driving force behind the breathtaking interior design of Galley with her legendary creative eye and attention to the smallest detail, it’s a stunning looking place.

Marcel, her brother, initially a self-taught chef, has 18 years’ experience of preparing and cooking fish and seafood at one of London’s most famous fish restaurants, Soho’s Randall & Aubin, he was the Head chef for 10 of those years.

Polish born and bred, Marcel takes his inspiration for the menu at Galley from the cooking styles and flavours of North Africa, Asia, South America and Europe, his love of creative cooking, expertise in fish and his eye for detail is evident when glancing over the list of dishes.

Small plates include Hand dived in-shell Scottish scallops, carrot, cardamom puree and toasted hazelnuts, Yellowfin tuna tartare, mango, avocado, wasabi nori crisps, teriyaki or Hereford beef carpaccio, wild mushrooms, beef jelly, pistachio and smoked garlic pesto. There is also a good selection of oysters and two seafood platters, one hot, one cold.


Large plates will include Brixham John Dory, spinach, romanesco, cauliflower puree, saffron & mussel sauce, Lobster pappardelle, heritage tomatoes, Jerusalem artichokes or Scottish venison, smoked potato puree, braised cabbage and thyme gravy.

For dessert think Salted caramel tart, green tea ice-cream, chilli & hazelnut praline, White chocolate panna cotta, passion fruit, honeycomb and blackberries or Amaretto and Verona chocolate fondant, cherry compote, mascarpone ice cream.

There is also a stunning bar with an inspirational list of cocktails, wines and beers and, for the weekends, a delectable brunch offering featuring the likes of Duck Benedict on toasted sourdough and Red mullet and crab brioche with mango chilli chutney.

Galley will be on soft launch for three days from Friday 29th of January to Sunday 31st of January at lunch and dinner with 50% off food only.
