New neighbourhood brassiere Edwins has opened its doors and is currently offering 50% off food as part of the soft launch.
If interested be quick as there are already only lunch tables left and this only runs until Sunday!
The menu includes dishes such as steak tartare, clams & mussels, chilli garlic rabbit with polenta and seafood bouillabaisse.
Starters/small plates are priced from £5.50 with mains from £13.
The restaurant has been named after Edwin Brady who ran the site from 1883 as a pub and museum of curiosities – a large collection of stuffed animals and skeletons!?
The Hole in the Wall, as it was known at the time, closed in 1901 following complaints about fliers advertising for corpses. Understandable really.
If you’re still not put off then you can find Edwins Borough here: Upstairs at 202-206 Borough High Street, SE1
