Smokey Tails

A lovely walk along the canal found us stumbling upon the super fun Smokey Tails.

A new pop up bar feeding BBQ to the arty hipsters of Hackney Wick with help from DJ Seth Troxler!

The cocktails were out of this world good and far too easy to knock back. All tasted ultra summery and transported me to sunnier climes but I’d particularly recommend the Cockney Fizz – strawberry & pear puree with Cava on top 🙂

The music was great, the people were pretty and then there was the FOOD. We ordered the pulled pork brioche which came with a choice of two banging salads – courgette with parmesan and marinated tomatoes, both fresh and a great alternative to the boring and lazy chips normally found on this type of bbq menu. We couldn’t resist a cheeky side of mac n cheese “with a kick” & could have been tempted by the homemade baked beans but they sold out in about 10 mins!

I urge you to find this little gem by the canal on the next sunny day we get! See you there!
