This Easter bubbledogs, the gourmet Champagne and hotdog bar, will be causing mischief in their local community, hiding 1,000 bottles of Champagne shaped keepsakes for their neighbours in Soho and Fitzrovia to hunt down. ‘Bottles’ will be hidden high and low, inside and out, tucked away in offices and under bushes, and when found these little corkers will earn you a free hotdog at bubbledogs Charlotte Street home.
On a mission to reunite bubbledogs signature handmade hotdogs with their rightful partner of grower Champagne, from Friday 14th to Monday 17th April (excluding Easter Sunday), guests will be able to bring in their scouted out bubbles in exchange for a choice of dogs from their menu, including the New Yorker, with grilled sauerkraut and caramelized onions, the Mac Daddy with mac ‘n’ cheese and bacon bits, and the José topped with tomato salsa, avocado, sour cream and pickled jalapenos. Created especially for the Easter weekend, the Welsh Rarebit Dog will take pride of place on the menu, accompanied by homemade welsh rarebit served with pickled radish (7) Of course, no trip to bubbledogs would be complete without a glass of something special, and Founder and Sommelier Sandia Chang will be on hand with Gaston Chiquet (6.5), Jean-Marc Séleque Extra Brut (8) and bubbledogs own label Collin-Guillaume Rosé Brut (10.5) plus a host of grower Champagnes by the bottle.
‘As a kid I always relished the yearly Easter egg hunt at home, and as an adult you miss out on all the fun. We wanted to rectify that, but replace the Easter eggs with hotdogs and your family back garden with Central London. It’s the ultimate urban hunter gatherer challenge!’ says bubbledogs Founder, Sandia Chang.
bubbledogs Easter Hunt will be running on Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Monday 17th of April 2017 (closed Easter Sunday). Hot dogs will be redeemable on the Friday, Saturday and Monday. T&C’s will be written on the ‘bottles’.
