Brindisa Food Rooms launches in Brixton

Part-shop, part-bar, Brindisa Food Rooms will be a version of what’s on offer at Borough Market – the Brindisa food shop and the chorizo grill – teamed with a simple but extended menu, all set under two railway arches.

The majority of the ingredients found on the menu will be on sale in the shop next door, with a few new suppliers added to the mix, offering a platform for smaller producers and rural cheese-makers to become known and appreciated.  Manchegos, goats’ milk cheese and unctuous torta cheeses fill one counter. Hams hang waiting to be carved and cured meats can be sliced thinly to order to take home. Basque salt cod and varying cuts of fresh Iberico meat from Extremadura are also on sale. Fresh fruit and vegetables direct from Barcelona, and loose ingredients such as beans, pulses and rices are also on sale. A small range of affordable wines to accompany the food are available to buy by the bottle.

Spanish Dinner Party anyone?
