This October street food duo Le Bun – of Gizzi Erskine / Street Feast / Sky 1 fame – are settling in for a month-long residency at Old Bengal Warehouse and launching an all-day brunch experience… ‘Le Brunch’.
Available at Old Bengal Bar and New Street Grill every Saturday and Sunday, Le Bun will join head chef Barry Macmillan and his team in the kitchen, serving their brand new ‘Le Brunch’ creations alongside their signature dishes. Brunch will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm alongside New Street Grill’s classic British brunch menu, offering brunch in a bun with Le Benedict Bun (maple bacon, poached egg, hollandiase and an asparagus salad), Le Eggs Royale Bun (Mariage Freres smoked salmon, spinach, poached egg and citrus hollandaise) and bun-free Truffles ‘n’ Waffles (confit Southern-fried chicken, shaved winter truffles, house waffles, truffle butter and rosemary maple syrup) to name a few. The iconic Le Bourguignon Bun (slow-and-low beef short-rib with bourguignon glaze, bacon salt, truffle mayo and champagne slaw) will also be on the menu alongside Le Royale with Cheese (8-hour short-rib patty with Hickory beef jus, St Maure de Touraine, smoked tomatoes and truffle dijonaise frisée on brioche).
Old Bengal Warehouse Wine Manager Alexis Meszoly has put together a bun-friendly list of French and American wine, including a Bordeaux at £6 a glass and a Californian Zinfandel at £6.50. Additionally, Le Bun will be working with Old Bengal Bar Manager Milos Popovic to create fun fusion cocktails, such as a French twist on the Bloody Mary for brunch and other Franco Manco-inspired tipples perfect for celebrating the weekend.
Expect the full Le Bun experience including buns, beverages and music, with different DJs taking to the decks to provide the ideal soundtrack to drink and dine to.
Join the official launch on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th September and enjoy 50% off all food and drink. To book your place at Le Brunch launch just email them quoting “Le Brunch launch- 50% off”
